Politics or Survivability
Ultimately survivability will prevail. Politics cannot sustain itself, the boom and bust capitalistic system in place at present in the modern western world (which governs how others must play the game) will implode. Unfortunately more people will starve, more will die and more still will not have the basic need of fresh air and water! Greed will continue, separation will continue and the everyday common man will continue to bear the brunt of this imbalance.
Mega corporations that continue to create monopolies to line, their’s and stockholders pockets, will soon tumble. Petroleum, genetically modified foods, and forest products are examples of unsustainable industries that face future collapse. But it will not be a painless time for us all – greed will control the minds of the people in this type of business
Governments across the globe support these false economies because they focus on the short term gains. Meanwhile the multinational control the price of goods, receive tax benefits and devise more and more ways to entrap the customers. By creating that dependency on their product or service they believe they control the company future.
The native peoples thought about the future too, future generations. Not one year or five years or even 20 years, but many generations. Permaculture addresses many of these questions and with careful planning, a good design, and the factors considered every person on this planet can have a more secure future, and feel connected to a fair and just global community.
